Yes. Children of full-time SAISD employees is one of the priorities used during the lottery according to the established priority structure, regardless of the parent/guardian’s site of employment. Employee Child priority is given first to those who live within SAISD boundaries, and then to those who do not.

To receive the Employee Child priority, the family must indicate their employee status on the application and submit it by the application deadline. Applications received after the application window closes will be added to the waitlist in order of submission date and will not be eligible for employee priority. 

Employee children who are not accepted through the lottery may still be considered for enrollment at the principal’s discretion according to district guidelines.
