SAISD Choice Timeline for 2026-27
Students inside and outside SAISD boundaries can apply for up to eight (8) Choice Schools or Magnet Programs for 2026-27.
Any student who does not currently attend their desired Choice School/Program must submit a 2026-27 application in Avela (SAISD’s new application and enrollment platform) to be considered for a seat. Applications that are currently on the waitlist for the current school year will not be considered for 2026-27 seats and must re-apply.
All applications must be submitted in Avela by 11:59 PM online (CST) to take part in the lottery for initial offers.

2026-27 registration opens in the new Avela platform for all SAISD schools. Registration resources at saisd.net/enroll
Initial offers and waitlist notifications will be sent to applicants via email and/or text message from Avela.
Deadline for applicants to accept their initial lottery offer before forfeiting their seat.
Starting today, applicants on the waitlist will begin to receive offers for 2026-27 seats. Applicants on waitlists typically have 2 business days from notification date to accept an offer. Offers will be made on a weekly basis into the new school year, wherever seats are available.
