At Gonzales Early Childhood Education Center, our program will instill a lifelong love of learning through a wide range of experiences to develop the full potential of every child while working as one team in collaboration with families and the community. The mission of the staff at Gonzales ECEC is to provide a strong educational foundation for young learners, consisting of a high-quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood education to meet the emotional, social, physical and academic needs of all the children in our program. We offer family events during and after the school day to promote our learning in and out of school. These are interactive, family conversations that help you understand what Choice Schools & Magnet Programs are and how to gain admission. We share important dates and deadlines, tips on how to apply, and resources to learn more. See dates, times, and locations of all District Info Sessions here.

  • Virtual Sessions: Join by tuning in to our live broadcast on the SAISD Choice Schools & Programs Facebook page. Parents will be able to post questions directly in the comments during the presentations, and we’ll answer in real time! Questions may also be sent ahead of time by direct message through the Facebook page, or by email to
  • In-Person Sessions: No sign-up is needed. These sessions take place at our neighborhood high schools, so parking is free. To make sure seating can remain socially distanced, we advise just 1 parent and 1 child per family attend each event. *Masks are required due to COVID-19 safety guidelines.
